Hobby Electronic is a reverse engineering project in which I recreated a pair of vintage headphones with precision and care. Using a digital caliper, I measured each component to a tenth of a millimeter and modeled the replica in Rhinoceros 3D.

I selected these 1980s headphones for their symmetrical

design, which allowed for efficient duplication of parts, and for their distinctive materials that contribute to their character. Beyond form, their age evokes a sense of history, an item that has carried decades of music and stories, brought back to life through design.
